GROW: Sustaining Our Dance Communities
Attendees can expect a day of workshops, discussion, and shared learning centered on sustaining ourselves, our classrooms, and our broader dance communities. Together, we’ll explore community-building, leadership, wellness, and practical tools that support long-term, meaningful engagement in dance.
This conference marks our first annual Spring Conference, created in response to feedback from our community seeking a new seasonal rhythm for gathering and connection.
We are truly excited to come together, reconnect in person, and continue growing alongside one another.

Why: Dance communities thrive when the people within them are supported. GROW was created to offer a space for reflection, learning, and connection—where educators, students, and community members can come together to share experiences and strengthen the future of dance education. Shaped by community feedback, this gathering reflects our belief in growing together through collaboration and care.

Nominate an Educator of the Year
We’re excited to celebrate the dance educators who make a lasting impact in our communities. The Educator of the Year Award honors individuals whose dedication, care, and leadership continue to inspire students, colleagues, and the broader dance community.
We invite you to nominate a dance educator who has influenced your growth, supported others, or strengthened your community in meaningful ways. Please share this form and encourage members of your network to help us recognize the educators who lead with passion and purpose.

Anne Green Gilbert Scholarship Application
DEAW is pleased to offer a limited number of AGG Scholarships to cover registration for the 2026 Spring Conference. This scholarship honors Anne’s role as DEAW’s founding President and her many years of service as a dedicated dance educator.
Applicants will be considered based on professional goals, alignment with DEAW’s mission, and plans to share learning from the conference with their students or community. Preference is given to DEAW members, first-time conference attendees, and recent college graduates.
Applications close March 15.
Recipients will be notified by March 25.
